Vegooser

I found myself in a tent at Vegoose surrounded by people hoping to pounce on an open computer. They each held a blank cd and were hoping to fill it with free music by downloading from one of their favorites performing at this years event. I was amazed that after paying money to enter such an event that people would spend time doing this rather than enjoying the many other attractions let alone the three stages of live music. People apparently love their media and are willing to go out of their way to obtain it, live music playing nearby or not.

The boogy factor was rather low for such an event. On a scale of 1-10 I would say that the wiggle meter was at a 4! Lot's of head bobin' and singalongin' but not many bodies movin' to the groovin'. Who knows, maybe all the disco kids where out during the sunlit hours? I wasn't there for the daytime festivities, however though one would think the night time would be the right time especially in Vegas!

The bands that I saw were great and the sound was amazing! Tom Petty was rockin' the old favorites as were the Black Crowes. The Mars Volta were doing some experimenting which was neat. I could hear Keller Williams from the trailer in the parking lot, he was jammin' hard. I hope people were dancin', cause I was a freaker not even anywhere near the speaker! He he he! Good times!
